About Purist Honey — Championing Longevity Foods & Antioxidant-Rich Nutrition

Purist Honey was founded on the belief that our health — and our future — depends on reconnecting with nature’s intelligence and choosing longevity foods that truly nourish the body.

For years, I watched our food system move further away from its roots: industrialized agriculture, chemical dependence, and over processing that strips food of vitality. That same system shaped the honey industry — quietly normalizing synthetic feeding, contaminated environments, and the loss of nutrient density. My own turning point came when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I reversed it naturally, not through fads or restriction, but through nutrient-dense anti-aging foods and a return to simplicity. That experience changed everything. It showed me, viscerally, the body’s ability to heal when given real nourishment. Since then, restoring nutrient density — for the sake of human and environmental longevity — has become my life’s work.

Reclaiming Health Through Food

I began beekeeping out of curiosity and the familiar call to “save the bees.” But the deeper I went, the more I realized something was profoundly misaligned. Most modern beekeeping mirrors the same industrial approach that has fractured human health: chemicals to control disease, synthetic supplements to replace real nutrition, and practices that ignore the hive’s natural rhythms.
It struck me immediately: if nutrient-poor soil creates nutrient-poor food, then nutrient-poor forage creates nutrient-poor honey — missing the antioxidants and anti-aging compounds the body relies on for cellular vitality and longevity.
And if we are eating honey stripped of its botanical richness — or worse, laced with contaminants — we are missing its true medicinal potential. For more on this, see our Polyphenols in Food: How We Test Honey for Antioxidant Integrity page.

Why Forage Matters for Longevity Foods

The honey aisle tells a comforting story: “Raw,” “Pure,” “Organic.” But most labels reveal nothing about actual purity. Imported honey can earn organic certification without ever being tested for pesticide contamination. Many producers prop-feed bees with sugar or corn syrup to cut costs and increase output — practices that weaken hive immunity and erode nutrient density.
This cycle has made honey seem cheap, interchangeable, and little more than a sweetener.
But honey is not a commodity. It is a living food — one of the most potent longevity foods and sources of natural antioxidants nature produces. A reflection of soil, season, and the health of the hive.

The Industry Problem No One Talks About

Building Purist meant fighting uphill battles. I worked with county officials to create a protected no-spray zone around our apiaries — something almost unheard of in Texas. I invested in comprehensive lab testing for 590+ contaminants, including glyphosate, because people deserve transparency.
When the results came back, they confirmed what I had hoped for:

  • Our honey is truly clean — free from detectable chemical residues.

  • We also test for polyphenols, the antioxidants that reverse aging, linked to gut balance, cellular vitality, and longevity — making our honey a premier longevity food.

Our honey consistently measures nine times higher in polyphenols than standard honey — a testament to biodiverse forage, natural beekeeping, and harvesting with restraint. These are not marketing claims; they are proof points of what nature produces when we refuse to interfere.

A Different Standard of Purity

Every day, more people are waking up to the truth: by choosing longevity foods and incorporating anti-aging foods, we can influence our health outcomes and cellular resilience.
I feel a deep responsibility — especially as a mother — to help restore that connection. Through my son, and through this work, I hope to pass forward a reverence for ecosystems, soil, pollinators, and the foods that shape our wellbeing.
When I say life in its fullest expression, I mean something deeply personal:
When our cells are nourished, our potential unfolds. Vitality becomes the fuel for expressing who we truly are — our gifts, our creativity, our contribution to humanity.

Life In Its Fullest Expression

Purist isn’t for everyone.
It’s for those who care about purity, nutrient density, and longevity at the cellular level. If that’s you, I would be honored to become your beekeeper.
